Convocation is a calling together - a calling of all of us together, especially because that us now includes you!
This ceremony is meant to mark the entrance into higher education and into the Flagler College academic community, in the profoundest sense of what "community" means- to share a bond together and forge a common identity within that bond.
The ceremony will be held at Lewis Auditorium, 12 Granada Plaza.
We anticipate the ceremony will have a run time of 1hr 10 mins.
We recommend business or dressy casual attire.

AI Literacy: The Impact and Ethics of Generative AI introduces you to one of the most important technologies shaping college, work, and everyday life. In this workshop, we'll will explore how generative AI can support learning, creativity, and problem-solving while also raising serious questions about accuracy, algorithmic bias, environmental impact, attribution, privacy, and the use of large bodies of knowledge without explicit permission. The session will help you think beyond “Can I use AI?” to “How can I use AI responsibly?” You'll leave with practical guidance on using generative AI thoughtfully and wisely as a tool that supports learning without replacing your own judgment, curiosity, or voice.

This fast-paced game is a great way to meet new people, practice visual communication, and have fun together. This event is designed for Deaf Education majors, ASL minors, and students taking ASL courses, but all students are welcome—no signing experience is required. Come make new friends, enjoy some laughs, and kick off the semester with an exciting game night!
